{the front porch}

When you live in a place like SF, one gets picky with restaurant choices. The front porch snuggled up in a mostly barren 29th street serving (very special to our heart) southern food, takes us up on the challenge. With a feel close to that of Jon's beloved Sally's in Columbus, MS, the wood furniture and the printed drapes surrounded us perfectly while we studied the menu.

Authentically southern in food but way off on prices. We couldn't fathom spending $17 for Seafood Gumbo as an appetizer!! Though yummy with one of the best fried okras I have had outside of Memes, to go back to the front porch nostalgia would have to take the best of us. With a slight price adjustment, we'd give it a definite A+ for the delicious menu.
